It was there that Mr. Hardy developed his skill and vision for footwear and design. After a years, Mr. Hardy became the head of the shoe collections at Dior. His position at Dior was then followed up by a creative women’s footwear and jewelry directorship at the beloved and established Hermes French fashion house; which he finished with a phenomenal shoe collaboration with Balenciaga in 2001.
All the while Mr. Hardy developed his own line and his own personal footwear creations. His first official collection was revealed under his own name in the spring of 1999; this initial collection was continued with a men’s line and bag line in 2002 and 2006. Mr. Hardy went forward to embrace the mainstream American culture by designing unique and highly sought footwear for the All American Gap brand. Always against the grain, always seeking to buck the trend and create his own, Mr. Hardy’s designs are demanded by internationally discerning fans; amongst the clients of the Pierre Hardy brand include Nicole Richie, Jennifer Aniston, Demi Lovato, Leighton Meester, Nicole Kidman, Rhianna, Cameron Diaz, Blake Lively and Kim Kardashian.
